A PROPOS
Florian de Schutter est né en 1996 en Belgique. Tôt, il voyage beaucoup sur les cinq continents et traverse de nombreux pays à vélo. Il commence d'abord la photographie comme une pratique journalistique et de reportage avant de questionner le langage photographique plus en profondeur et de se tourner vers une approche plus artistique et experimentale. Il commence à s'intéresser aux phénomènes lumineux de diffraction, reliant le rôle symbolique de l'arc en ciel dans différentes mythologies et la lecture des pionniers de la physique quantique.

Il découvre ensuite l'opale pendant un voyage en Australie et commence à développer sa propre approche photographique de la lumière et la matière à trouver l'experimentation de nanostructures en studio. Suivant la même méthode, il travaille également les ailes de libellules.

A partir de 2024, il commence la photographie de paysage avec le parc national de l'entre sambre et meuse puis avec l'université de Catane. ​
ABOUT
Florian de Schutter was born in 1996 in Belgium. Early, he travelled around the five continents and cycled through many countries. He first started photography as a photojournalism practice before to question the relation of the photographic medium with reality and to switch towards a more artistic and experimental practice. He started getting interested in light phenomenons of diffraction when he discovered the symbolic role of the rainbow in various mythologies parallely to readings of the pioneers of quantum physics.

Only after, he discovered opals as he was travelling throughout Australia and started developing his own approach with matter and light through the experimentation of nanostructures in studio. Following the same track, he then discovered dragonfy wings.

In 2024, he starts working on landscape with the national parc "Entre sambre et Meuse" and the university of Catane.
